from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
One simple easy thing you can do to lose weight.
Steps
- Create a diet plan that is low on carbs, low on fat. Think many fruits and vegetables. *Make sure you still hit all the groups of the food pyramid.*
- Drink 1 whole glass (8 oz) of water before each meal.
- Instead of having three big meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) have many small meals (with 1 glass of water before each meal).
- Replace unhealthy snacks with healthy snacks. Examples: Instead of having a dish of candy at your office desk, get a dish of nuts (not peanuts) and raisins. Replace candy bars with baby carrots. Ice cream with low fat frozen yogurt.
Tips
- Water is healthy. It is recommended that a person drink eight 8-oz cups of water per day. Most people drink WAY less and this is a great way to reach that quota.
- Drinking a glass of water before each meal not only quenches your thirst (which will prevent you from drinking other unhealthy drinks) but also makes you feel more full. Because of this, you'll eat less food, intake less calories and lose weight.
- Just replacing all your drinks with water (or tea) cuts out a huge load of unnecessary calories alone. You don't get the extra sugar or chemicals which are unhealthy and fattening.
- Water also helps flush your system of all the harmful toxins stored. Some of these prevent weight loss.
Warnings
- Water is completely safe to drink - unless you consume a gallon in under half an hour.
Things You'll Need
